Forensic Investagations. Week 1

Something that I'm proud of this week was task 2. I think I answered each question at a high standard. The questions were based on the podcast "hide and seek" which is based on the bear brook state park murders. I completed a digiart on the crime scene. there are two decomposing bodies stashed into a blue barrel, which was hid in bear brook state park.

friday wellbeing class 21st may 2021

Today we learned about bullying and how it effects people very negatively. the anti bullying quote, "pulling someone down will never help you reach the top" means that  teasing and tormenting someone to make yourself feel good never works, and just leaves someone else feeling terrible.

year 9 class 19th march

Giacomo and I learn't about and discussed resilience. We learnt that failure is a wonderful teacher, and to be resilient when faileir is upon us.

  1. What are individual strengths? individual strengths are skills or points an individual is strong in.

  2. Why is it important that people have different strengths? it is important to have different strengths because if every body had the same skills and strengths, everything would be unbalanced.

  3. What are some things to be mindful of when working with people who have different strengths? some things to keep in mind are to not make them do anything they're uncomfortable with, and give them work that is to they're abilities.

  4. How could different strengths be used to our advantage in group work? because some people might be able to do what you cant, and you might be able to do what they can't, making it work out perfectly.

  5. How can we develop our strengths? by practicing them and sticking with our strengths.

  6. How do our strengths help us reach our goals? because you can use your strengths to your advantage in your career, therefore eventually reaching your goal/s.

March the 5th blog

Nelson park is a special place in the gisborne community. Why? Well for starters, it is where most sports games (Football, Rugby ect), are held during the weekends in winter. I myself play football at nelson park early on a saturday morning. It's nice to hear and feel the crunchy frosty grass on a saturday morning under many pairs of football boots. Next to the many sports fields at the park, there is a small but entertaining playground that me and my siblings like to play on after sports games, as do all the other kids. My favourite part is the small slide because I like to try and climb up it.

On any sunny summer or spring day it's a great place to walk a dog, or go and muck around with a ball or a frisbee. It's also a nice place to have a family picnic, as there are a lot of benches to eat on with a nice view of a river beside them. When I eat there, I’m accompanied by the nice smell of fresh air, and the taste of summer flowers sent carried through the air lingers in my mouth.

In the summer and spring, the grassy fields of nelson park become covered with millions of little flowers, which is mesmerizing to look at. As I walk through, I can see hundreds of little bees, buzzing happily as they collect pollen. The sound of hundreds of tiny wings humming leaves my ears ringing. In autumn, the fields become covered with leaves, and it's addictive to jump, dive and roll around in the countless dead leaves. The sound of crunchy leaves is also very satisfying.

Lastly, there is a place in Nelson park, hidden behind a tiny bridge at the end of the park closest to Campion college. There is a small set of dirt jumps for people who like to ride and jump bikes. I know that this part of nelson park is cherished by many mountain bikers in gisborne. All of these amazing things nelson park has to offer, make it a very special place in the gisborne community.

Im proud of this work because it took 45 minutes to complete, and it was a good length. I think I used good punctuation, and good writing skills.
